Product Details

This holster is made similarly to the "Hunter Company's" 1100 Series holster. However, we've made a few changes.

The snap-off-the-belt holster is a great way of carrying. Hunter did a great job in creating this design. However, we've taken that design to another level by using heavier weight leathers, military grade (high retention spring), solid brass snaps, and changed how the retention strap interacts with the firearm. Instead of the strap going across the back side of the trigger guard, we have moved it to behind the hammer. This prevents the firearm from being cocked unintentionally. This is a significant change as it makes carrying your single-action MUCH safer.

As with the original, this is a snap-on and snap-off design. So, there is no need to unbuckle your belt to put the holster on or off. The YKK brand snaps we use are also used by the U.S. military in applications where high-retention is needed. The springs on the snaps are stiff and will resist unwanted opening (more so than cheaper, lesser quality snaps). Since they're made of solid brass, they also won't rust!

We use nothing but top grain leathers from the finest tanneries in the country. This includes Hermann Oak, Wickett and Craig, and Horween. You can rest assured that your holster will last for DECADES!

Since we're the manufacturer, we can sell these holsters for less! We do not have distributors adding a markup. So, the savings is passed on directly to you!

Double Jay Ranch Holsters on eBay and Etsy

While we would much prefer selling to you directly from our website, we do understand that some customers feel safer making their purchases on bigger platforms like Amazon, eBay, or Etsy. However, please keep in mind, those platforms take a huge percentage of the sale; often times, making more money off of the sale than the actual seller does. It’s unfortunate that they feel the need to be the only ones making a profit but, they do.

eBay and Etsy both encourage sellers to lower their prices, pay extra fees for “promoted” listings, and offer free shipping. All of this just to spur on the sale. Why? Because whether the seller makes money or not, they ALWAYS do! Putting it in its most simple terms, they don’t care if the seller makes money as long as they do.

Again, we do have a presence on both eBay and Etsy. And if you feel more comfortable making your purchase there, just click on either of the two images or the links below.

For more information about how bad eBay and Etsy are for sellers (and buyers), check out this article on Forbs.com.
